Cookies & storage
The short version: BatteryComply doesn't use any tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics. We use two small browser-storage items to make the site work better. That's it.
What we store
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
bc_lang |
localStorage | Remembers which language you picked from the globe menu, so we don't auto-redirect you on the next visit | Until you clear it |
bc_lang_checked |
sessionStorage | Marker so the auto-redirect runs at most once per browser session | Until you close the tab |
What we don't use
- No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any other behavioural-tracking script
- No advertising cookies
- No session cookies for profiling
- No cross-site fingerprinting
Because the two items above are strictly necessary to deliver the locale you've chosen, no consent banner is required under the ePrivacy Directive. If we ever add anything that does need consent (we have no plans to), we'll show a banner first.
Third-party services that may set cookies on their own pages
When you click through to pay, you leave our site briefly:
- Stripe — checkout. Their cookie use is governed by Stripe's privacy notice.
These cookies are set by those services on their domains, not by us.
How to clear what we stored
In any browser, opening DevTools (F12) → Application → Storage → Clear site data wipes both items instantly. You can also clear browser data via your browser's settings; both items disappear when you clear "site data" or "cookies" for batterycomply.com.
Changes
If we ever add a new storage item, we'll list it here and bump the effective date. We'll never quietly add tracking.
